Padang Padang Beach

Padang Padang Beach which is also known as Labuan Sait Beach is a famous surf spot on the Bukit Peninsula in Bali, Indonesia.

This beach features an exotic setting; a simply stunning one hundred meter-long stretch of sand that is accessible down a flight of stairs through a unique hollow rock entrance. Padang Padang Beach has a number of awesome things to check out such as the unique rock caves, tidal swimming pools, secluded beaches and world-class waves!

This beach is also a regular spot for international surfing events, the Rip Curl Cup Padang Padang being the most frequent.

How To Get To Padang Padang Beach

Padang Padang Beach is located at the village of Pecatu on the south-west coastline of the Bukit Peninsula.
It’s a 20 to 30 minute drive from the Bali International Airport and a quick 10-minute drive from the cliff temple of Uluwatu.
If you are staying in the Uluwatu region you can rent a scooter for approximately 50,000 IDR per day and make your way over to Labuan Sait Beach.
If you are coming from Kuta, Seminyak or Canggu it is approximately a 1-hour to 1.5-hour journey to Padang Padang Beach.
For scooter rentals, you can ask your accommodation to organize this as they are always able to help.
Alternatively, keep your eyes peeled along the main roads in the Canggu, Seminyak, Kuta and Uluwatu regions and you will be sure to find a scooter rental shop

Padang Padang Beach Location & Map

As mentioned above, Padang Padang Beach is located at Jalan Labuan Sait, Pecatu Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia.

Beach access is down the slope across the road from a large parking area. Prior to this is a bridge that connects the two sides of the limestone cliff, offering a glimpse down to the beach from up high.

Padang Padang Beach Entrance Fee

If you are staying in the Uluwatu region you can rent a scooter for approximately 50,000 IDR per day and make your way over to Labuan Sait Beach.

Best Time To Visit Padang Padang Beach

All year round is a good time to go to Padang Padang Beach. If the sun is out, the more reason to get there as soon as possible, be it to surf or just to soak it all in.

However, best time for beaches, Swimming, and Suntanning in Bali: April to October are the sunniest driest months with lots of sun. But you can get good beach weather any month of the year.

What To Expect At Padang Padang Beach

There are small vendors set up down on the sand at Padang Padang Beach selling locally made souvenirs such as colourful sarongs, hats, t-shirts, board shorts, stubby coolers, friendship bracelets etc.

If you are looking to ride some waves at the famous Padang Padang Surf Break there is a small beach shack run by the local surf life-saving guards who offer surfboard rentals for around 100,000 to 150,000 IDR for 2-hours.
